Findings - It is vital that librarians should stress more and more the creative art of reading and point to the dangers of both superficial reading and of over-indulgence. Originality/value - The paper emphasises the great influence that libraries, as centres of learning, can have on a community.

Probably my favourite place to be on the planet;). Is it an exaggeration? I admire a country - my current home country, Finland, invested so much in her library facilities, absolutely makes her citizens proud. It is such a nice feeling to be there. Whoever visits Finland, I recommend to visit Oodi library if you don't have any time to visit anything else. Oodi rocks!
This is what the future of libraries should be. What a beautiful, modern library! Complete with a space for makers and co-working. We saw people sewing, 3D printing and more. Wide open space that is clean with beautiful architecture. The cafes have lovely sandwiches and pastries. The bathroom was a massive coed space with touch free sinks. If you’re visiting Helsinki, definitely come here!
Huge building. Very nice exterior. Interesting shapes. Took some great pictures from outside but didn't had a chance to go in and take a look. But still this place is one of places what has to see when you are in Helsinki. And it's looking more impressive when you see by yourself than in the pictures.
A cultural centre and library equipped with a breathtaking selection of books in a totally open space, so inviting to stay and read, just relaxing. And lots of helpful equipments and meeting places where you can virtually do anything: a painting demonstration, saw your dress, print in plotters, learn robotics or exit in Photoshop. Bravo for this initiative!
A must to visit. Great Design, impressive workplaces for reading, discussing, sewing, 3-D-printing. Stunning architecture.
