It's a good ferry service from Helsinki city center near old market Hall to suomenlinna fortress and back. Ticket is euro 2.80 or included in the Helsinki card. The frequency is once every 40 minutes. Trip time is about 15min. Its a good place to sit and capture amazing views. Wonderful experience.

Captivating views whilst on the ferry from Helsinki to Suomenlinna. Cost of ferry was inclusive in the three day metro card we had to travel around. Friendly staff, good places to sit and capture views!

It is free with transportation day pass in Helsinki as these boats are part of public transportation in Helsinki. It is nothing fancy as they are normal public transportation but these boats are still offering much more than ordinary public transportation. My advice is to try make a boat trip during evening so you get to see skyline of Helsinki while coming back towards market Square. Sunset and sunrise are also great time to enjoy the ride.

The ferry functions as a time machine, it takes people back and forth in time. From the rush in the city to the peace on the island and back. Take this ride to contemplate and use all your senses, breath the sea air, feel the wind, balance as the ferry turns (it rocks very little but watch out when it arrives it might be a bit more rough, hold steady as on a metro slowing down) and most of all, enjoy the trip! It takes about 12min the journey but mentally it allows you to travel for much longer. During winter time it operates every 40-60 minutes but in summer there are multiple ferries running so you can catch one every 10-20 minutes. You can use the HSL ticket or card to take this ferry.
Consigliatissimo per raggiungere la fortezza costruita su 6 isole. Lo abbiamo preso di mattina presto per non trovare troppi turisti ed è stata una ottima scelta . Il biglietto si compra sul posto a un prezzo veramente conveniente anche per via delle molte corse disponibili a tutte le ore
