Excellent museum. Lots of nice stuff of Soviet era and Lenin. Its very communist and working class oriented, and if you are interested in that and history of Tampere in general, I really recommend it. It would take about 1,5 hours to go around it.

Taking a picture with Stalin and Lenin is priceless, extremely cheap is also visiting this amazing museum, where actually the Soviet Union was born. There are a lot of interesting gimmicks from a gone world. The historical part of the museum shows you pretty well how the past of the USSR and SF were interlaced. Absolutely a must place for nostalgic and history lovers.
Another must-see place in Tampere. This museum used to be the place to visit by the Soviet tourists but it also serves as document of Finnish history. The museum has renewed the exhibition in 2016 and it offers also facts and critical views of the Finnish-Soviet history. The place is not large so easy also for a quick visit. Includes nice little museum shop.
The Lenin museum was a hit with our party! We happened to show up just as the Finnish guide was starting his tour. The guide was very informative and thorough, we enjoyed his account on the museum and history very much. The museum is small but very nicely put up and filled with memorabilia of the Soviet Union. One of my top picks for Tampere!
Truly a unique place. It’s small but compact with interesting information, make sure to look up too as there are a lot of symbolic things hanging around. The museum gives a neutral view on the life of Lenin and a lot of facts about Finland and Russia’s relationship. Coincidentally we came in time for the scheduled English tour and since we were the only English speakers, it was totally private at our pace. Essi, our guide, was super knowledgeable and friendly. We went 15 mins overtime as she gladly answered all our random questions. Also by the wax Lenin statue, there is a corner that plays a bunch of recorded jokes :)
A good, though small, museum that is worth a visit to learn about the Soviet Union and Finland's relationship with it. Surprisingly not that much about Lenin and his bio. Many videos and interactive screens. You can even play the original Tetris. And have your photo taken with life size Lenin and Stalin dolls. There is a gift shop.
Quite small but nice.
This is so specific museum and you have to know something about Finnish and Russian history especially about dark period in 1917-1939 before visiting just for better understanding. Search a place for free car parking near at the nearest streets ;-)
