I am not an expert in culinary but I am highly satisfied with our order. It was my fiance's birthday and this was a random pick, passing by the restaurant after bowling. He picked the starter and the it was a variety of taste which is always a nice start. I ordered the pork for the main dish and he tried the moose. Both were satisfying and delicious in my opinion. The staff are fiendly and absolutely caring, especially when you get information about the dish.

I think I'm being generous with the three stars. This used to be a rather good restaurant, but sadly the quality of the food, as well as the atmosphere, has really taken a nosedive. The only redeeming quality was the wine, but then that's not even in their control.
Good meat, excelent service, enjoyed the kings fiest for two ... that was fulfilling.

I thought this chain would be a bit gimmicky as a 'Viking Restaurant', but it turns out they're actually really good with high quality meals! During my Finland trip I wanted to try as much local food culture as I could, and though the decor in Harald restaurants is quite tacky and touristy, I just had to try it. Their menu offers lots of amazing choices, I tried the smoked reindeer soup for a starter, which was very rich and smooth and went really well with the cranberry puree it's topped with. For my main I chose the Sausage Pan Of Alf Leatherpants, which comes with succulent lamb sausages, very rich game sausage, the most delicious cheese potatoes, beetroot and lots of caramelized onion. It was a rich, earthy dish with a lot of great flavours, perfect for a cold winter night! For dessert I treated myself to Iona's Liquorice Mousse, which consisted of a fine, delicate liquorice mousse, raspberry and liquorice sorbet, liquorice meringue and a light raspberry syrup. This sounded like it might be a little too much, especially as I'm not a huge fan of liquorice, but I felt drawn to it and had to give it a go. Turns out it is nowhere near as overwhelming as I suspected it might be, the flavours are delicate and light, the textures compliment each other really well, and the raspberry lightens up the dish to give it a sweet and tart undertone. It was definitely one of the best desserts I've ever had! The staff were also very nice and accommodating, my visit here was a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely come back! Delicious food, fun decor, really friendly staff, just an overall great experience.
The restaurant is up a flight of stairs which is nicely decorated in a viking theme upstairs everything is wooden with lots of attention to detail eg, stuffed animals, plastic viking hats for diners, a long ship food bar, wooden toilet stalls, shields and the like. There is a lot of.choice, naturally as long as your not really looking for vegetarian options, there is.a decent selection of meats, which is very nicely cooked although.WAY TOO MUCH SALT I had to palm most of it off on my partner. The waitress warned about shots and there was one in the fowl but this didnt ruin the meal. My mother in law loved her chicken, although the volume of potatoes was massive, more for 1 person than the 2 person meal in total. The only disappointing part was the puddings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating so maximum points for that. The reindeer soup was also delicious
