Want to take a little 2 hours cruise from Tampere centrum, take Silverline from Laukontori. You can also enjoy nice buffet with some drinks. If you have time, you can go as far as Hämeenlinna and see beautiful finnish nature.

We decided to take the New Years cruise and it was a nice experience, with music and nice views, especially of the fireworks. Unfortunately the food was way below standard (very low quality) and it made my wife had stomach ache. Many of the foods were not properly cooked and other felt just a week old. For such special occasions it would be great to serve better food.

Great lake cruises in summertime!
Hubby and I went on the S/S Tarjanne Music & Dinner-Risteily. We paid 70 euros each for the cruise which included music and a three course meal. The cruise was very enjoyable, with beautiful views of the lake, trees, and cabins sitting alongside the water. It was beautiful! The staff was also very friendly and did everything to make the cruise more enjoyable for the passengers. The music was lovely and provided a great ambiance for our trip. The dining table was quite small, and was more of a tiny cubicle but met my expectations as it was a smaller historical steamboat. The three course meal was absolutely delicious and we were pleased with the flavor of each meal. The only thing that was really uncomfortable about the trip was the heat inside the boat. It was very hot and stuffy inside the dining areas, too hot that it was unbearable for long periods. It's an older boat without ventilation though so it's not a big issue, and also expected. The meals as I mentioned were very delicious, however the main course my husband got was half the size of everyone else's including mine, and it was also missing the flowers that the other meals had, and appeared more as if the chef was running out of food and put whatever she had left on the plate. It was a very sad portion considering it was 1/2 what the plate was meant to have and was not presented the same way either. For my husband to have paid the same price as everyone else, and to get a sad plate like that was upsetting. I ended up switching plates with him because he's bigger than me and I wanted to give him more food. I ended up hungry still so we ordered another soup. We were given the soup for free which was very nice as our main meal issue was correctly compensated. I would recommend this cruise for anyone looking for a music cruise. I wouldn't recommend the three course meal though, I would just recommend ordering off the menu.
Great way to see Tampere from other point of view. It is also possible to enjoy delicious lunch during the cruise.
