Airport hotel restaurant. People don't eat here out of their free will, but for necessity. Better than the neighbouring Holiday Inn, maybe slightly worse than the Rantasipi. Managed to sneak in so that my presence was not noticed until after 15 minutes, even though I only counted eight tables for a staff of four. There was no drinks menu and my waiter didn' t know the beer menu. Had the Chorizo Hotdog: I don't know what the chorizo referred to - the hotdog had pulled pork drenched in BBQ sauce. It was part of the street food menu and thus I'd like to assure you that if you have \streetfood\ in Kallio or Sörnäinen, in Helsinki, it will have fresh herbs and spices and no BBQ sauce. The french fries were more like British chips, soft with only a pinch of crispness at the ends. The bread table the restaurant serves as a started was nice - fresh bread with hummus, olive paste, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

I agree with some comments here, the service has a lot to improve, to say the least. This has been going on for years, but they have not fixed it. I have stayed in the hotel several times just because of the night price when I have early flights. It seems that they don't care. People eat here only because there is no other places around. This last time I was with my daughter and we both ordered burgers, hers was 8.50 and mine 17.50. The only difference was that mine had mayonnaise and a bit of coleslaw, then all the rest was exactly the same.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is average with decent size portions but it’s the service and bar that really let it down. Often you will wait ages to to have your order taken, only for it to be forgotten about. Flat beer and flat soda every time I’ve eaten here (out of laziness as I was staying in the hotel). Finally, it always seems to be cold inside - another 2 or 3degrees on the thermostat would help.

Clean but dated room, free wi-fi and close proximity to the airport with a free shuttle bus to both terminals 1 and 2. Breakfast was surprisingly good given the price and is served in a limited form from 4am for those unlucky enough to be on a 6am flight. I would recommend this hotel for a layover at Helsinki airport as it is convenient and satisfactory.

Valitettavasti en voi suositella. Tarjoilu oli todella hidasta, tympeää ja ruoka hintaansa nähden hyvin alakanttiin. Paikka oli kulahtanut, tarjoilijat epäsiistejä ja ruokalistakin huonosti tulostettu A4 paperille. Alkupalaksi (pitkään)odotellessa oli kuivaa leipää. Kiitos ei.
