A good place for nature fans
Wonderful quiet place to just chill and relax.
I think this is a too little known gem. You can enjoy peace and quiet in nicely accessible area and learn a lot at the same time. It's far enough to keep all the drunks away from trashing the place, but near enough for car and bike.
Nice for a short walk. Not too crowded. Kind of hilly.
If you are looking for a forest experience but can't get out of town, the Arboretum is the place to go. The place show cases Finnish woodland flora to a respectable decree given the small size of the place. There are pines, spruces, birches and other common species in a landscape native to them, and there are also samples of species which are rare in this country. It is a nice place for a picnic or a stroll, and it is one of the best places if not the best place to play Pokemon Go in Vantaa. There are no services nor facilities and aside a few waste bins, benches and a picnic table the place does not provide you with much - but it is plenty considering you are after a forest experience. Bring your own lunch and a bottle of water! The pathways are easy to follow on the northern side, but the trails at the southern side are in poor condition. There is parking space available on the side opposite to the gardening supply store Viherpaja. The area to the west from Arboretum is actually the central park of Vantaa, and a trip to Arboretum can easily be coupled with one to the park. The park has sheep during the summer right next to the Arboretum.
Beautiful park to have a little stroll in. Has places to sit and even picnic tables.
