I have newly arrived to Helsinki and wanted to join a kickboxing gym. I sent an email inquirying about kickboxing schedule and got no reply at all. After 10 days I called and asked and the guy who answered did not speak any English. I think he mumbled something about all classes being full and then proceeded telling same phrase in finnish despite me telling repearedly that I do not speak any Finnish. After a couple of times od same phrase and a thank you from his side in Finish (but no assistance or maybe finding ONE person who spoke some English) meaning he was about to hang up, I finished the call. If non-Finnish speakers are not welcomed, just say so and I will spend my time elsewhere. Horrible service, the worst I experienced from a gym and we have lived in some challenging places as Iran and Russia.
