Lots of pinetrees, oaktrees and lakes. I really love this place.

The shallow sandy shore of the Saarijärvi lake is a great place to visit with kids on a hot summer day. The parking area can get a bit crowded though. Also there are just very basic amenities (a toilet and a changing room) so remember to bring food and drinks with you and don't forget to prepare for taking all your trash with you when leaving.

Saarijärvi is my favorite part of the national park, best is the part on the other side of the lake. In winter with sufficient snow it is glorious.
