As a freshman studying Mechanical and Sustainability Engineering, it's pretty good. Currently the whole academic year is remote due to Covid-19, their learning platform is working well. I have never visited the campus itself (nor studied within the campus physically) but their remote solutions are good and engaging. The professors teaching mechanical engineering and natural sciences are good, some are native speakers (English) and some are not. Lectures have been balanced and interesting. We had some guest speakers this semester over Zoom. The only minus would be probably the size of the uni, if you want to take courses such as CompSci you have to take them from other unis like Metropolia since Arcada doesn't offer many minor courses in English. The information flow could be better. They changed some conditions for the scholarship and many non-EU students have to suffer financially because it was unexpected. Overall, Arcada is a very modern uni. It's a good balance of practical studies and theoretical, their first year courses have not been too indimidating for freshmen so that's definitely a plus.
like
Staff is nice and the building with the Amica dinery/ cafeteria and the library is beatiful and well working. The cuts on funding is vissible as every year you can notice the teachers have more and more preassure on them.
