The display was beautiful and extremely didactic. The only flaw is that not everything had an english translation (please remember that this trip happened in June/2017). But the visit is really worth it, especially for the natural sciences enthusiasts :)

Absolutely fantastic! Well made, lots to see, save about 2 hours for your visit. Better to get there after 15 when most school groups are gone. Ticket is pricey, but the place is worth visiting. The skeleton rooms are my personal favorites.

Interesting collection set up in a way that seems to engage kids of all ages. Staff were very forthcoming with info. Got an unplanned informative mini tour in the bones section, which was nice. Museum is not too huge, so won't overdose on input. I recommend.

Animals were presented beautifully and their movement was captured really well on several sets. I also liked the architecture of the building. Three hours should cover your visit, two if you hurry up a bit.

One of my favourite places to visit with kids. Interesting displays and lots to learn. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It is really great. The museum has large collections. Maybe not so large as the Vienna museum but this collection is presented better. Dioramas have a lot of small details like water on a bear paw or a waving mammoth hair. All of the exhibitions have a Swedish and Finnish description and a lot of the English as well. You can also download a free audio guide and listen to it on your mobile device. Internet connection in the museum is perfect. Museum also has a nice café where you can eat something sweet or buy a souvenir.

If stuffed animals isn't for you maybe you should continue without visiting but if can handle those, you and your family will enjoy the place. Dinosaurs, Finnish nature and animal but also more exotic animals and creatures are available. At least our kids have loved the place every time we have visited the place. Central location and easy access from railway station.
