Food for Good is a non-profit, non-political, rights-based organization aiming to promote cultural exchange, social inclusion and non-discrimination through touching various international cuisines cooked by immigrants living in Tampere, whose stories are shared and spread with the masterpieces they create. Food for Good was founded by immigrants for the immigrants in order to create a positive impact within the society by embracing the universality of food, regardless of people’s nationality, race, religion, ethnic origin, or political opinion. The ultimate goal of the organization is creating a migrant kitchen, which consists of the flavors from various cuisines from around the world and cooked by the immigrants. The idea is delivering the food through a mobile application, and inside a meal box, together with the stories of the migrant cooks and the couriers. Eventually, this would enable the empathy with the immigrants: learning about their stories, the challenges they face, and the arduous journey they passed through before and after coming to Finland.
