A good Steak House at a nice Helsinki location, with a lot of genuine interest in making a good steak. Menu is quite impressive with a lot of options between mid priced and some really premium options. Overall both steaks we ordered were good and well prepared. Service is overall good, like it should be at this price range. Maybe a few more beers from micro breweries would be welcome on the menu, as the wine list is very ambitious but I really like a beer for steak as well sometimes.

We had a strange experience at this restaurant. Once we arrived a waiter asked if we had a reservation and we said no. At this point the waiter told us they are fully booked and that no tables are available. Then a lady arrived and told us to follow her upstairs where it was completely empty and no tables were occupied. So it was quite strange that the whole upstairs is empty and we are told that they are full. The food was good, especially the mushroom soup and desserts. The Filet mignon we ordered were average when compared to other similarly priced restaurants. Service was well below expectations. None of the staff were smiling and quite unfriendly, coming from a person working in the hospitality industry. The lady who took us to the table did not smile at all and just left us at the table and I saw this happen throughout our time at the restaurant. Another example of bad service was when asked which dessert the waiter would recommend I received an answer of whatever you like to eat, which I have never heard before, as waiters should be able to provide recommendations on the menu. Another strange thing happened when the bill arrived is that the below average gin Tonic served in a water glass cost almost 20 EUR, which for that quality of drink was a rip off. This is as in other surrounding bars and restaurants gin tonics are much cheaper and of better quality. Overall this steakhouse had good food but very under par service, which I have not experienced before.

Really nice steakhouse in the port of Helsinki. Several options for both meat, fish and veg eaters. For meat specifically they offer different types of cuts and aging, a bit more restrictive the fish and side options. Veal and mushrooms soups were really delicious and are definitely to try if you are around. Highly advised....

Excellent food, worth the price. I am only a bit disappointed by the service. We had to go look for the wardrobe ourselves because the waiter didn't offer to take our coats. And the restaurant was almost empty. When he finally came he took mine but left my partner hanging and we had to go look for him again other than that everything was great

Mittikset on The Road

Nice steak house with good selection meats cooked perfectly. I was hoping for more choices for sides but we were not left hungry. It's good to have this kind of place being open on Sunday in Helsinki.
