Not a huge exhibition space, but just big enough to have some great works on display. I was just visiting a friend and taking a look at what the city has to offer, when I discovered the Helsinki Art Museum. We had to wait in line about 10 minutes, but it was because the museum is closed during lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 (or at least the box office is closed).

HAM is an amazing place, especially the candy and popcorn area, it made us feel so excited and brain-popped. Worth coming even though we came when it's closed. The cinema and overall environment were more than good enough to compensate the disappointment of not be able to get in.
Worth visiting but a lot of modern art featured, which was of no interest/boring
it shows a great story about Finnish modern life and beginning of modern art in Finland and so many other items and voice notes and also a lot of books you can read it there to know more about history
A very good art museum with outstanding exhibitions! The HAM Corner on ground floor is a nice space for art projects oriented on viewers' participation and with free admission.
Nice exhibition, friendly staffs and guides. As the case with Finland's early closing hour, I didn't get to explore that much since I came at 6 PM.
Great exhibitions from several artists. A nice mix of more classic pieces and modern art.
If you are into modern art, you should visit.
