Pretty chill place, you can enjoy playing pool upstairs and later in the evening proceed downstairs for some tunes. Beer and wine selection is decent for a place like this and the staff were friendly, pool tables were 15e per hour I think and kept in excellent condition (just DON'T set your drinks on them, they didn't like that haha)

A somewhat popular downstairs event venue and bar for various alternative and underground things. Beer index 6,60 Euros from regular Finnish lager. I consider this expensive place for liquid consuming. Cloakroom cost 2,50 Euros. There's a room for vice smoking habits too so you don't have to wander into wilderness of the outside world. Service is typical Finnish service. It's ok - don't expect sir or Ma'am here. They keep it simple and fast yet polite. This establishment has an open stage for permances. Stage itself has one of the most challenging lighting I've ever seen from photographing point of view. Especially if you don't know what to do. I really enjoy that quite frankly impossible blue/purple cast from main stage spot light. You can choose: Main subject looking dashingly good and all the rest are looking nauseous - or vice versa. Usually just try to make the main subject look good. This place has strange air conditioning. It's heavily related to the main door curtains that regulate temperature here. If they keep curtains open you'll freeze and if they keep them closed you'll end up being out of oxygen all the time. You can only choose one of them here. So it's truly nice air-conditioning here. This event venue will be closed in the near future because of whole building renovation starts and it will last several years. I have many great memories of this place and it's a shame that this place will probably not return here in the future. So even though this place has many problems it's still one of the most richest cultural venues in Helsinki especially if you're looking for cheaper alternatives for high culture happenings that will consume your arm and a leg.
