Very good hot pot and the staff is very helpful. We arrived at 20.45, the restaurant was closing at 22.00, but they served as and we had a very good service. We haven’t had hot pot for a very long time. The broth was very good, the taste was really nice, though we would expect a bit more variety to the stuff that we could order to add. For example, there was no good variety of mushrooms. It might be because we came too late and there is the COVID restrictions. At the end of the day, we enjoyed it, we would definitely suggest it to friends, and we will come back again for more hot pot!

We came here for lunch about two o'clock. The place was out of food and there were only left rice, dry sushi and some vegetables. I needed to ask them to cook more food (chicken) and they didn't even ask would I like to have something more. Also the customer services were too shy to ask did we like the food or any comments about it. I tried to think this was completely mess because of the epidemic but then I came here and read that we weren't exception. I'm really sad that these beautiful facilities and great food culture are go to waste in a place like this.
Delicious.Authentic as far as I can tell. Good service. Special/traditional menu recommended.
Once upon a time the best Chinese restaurant in Helsinki. We had many take outs and were always looking forward to spicy chicken in chilli oil with Sichuan pepper. Whenever asian relatives would visit, we'd take them to Home Taste. Our last take out was really terrible: poor taste and small portions. We couldn't eat it and returned the food to restaurant. The staff just ignored our complaints. The chef mumbled something to the waiter and walked away. The waiter simply asked: do you want the food, yes or no? It's a pity they did not even bother to understand us. Simply adding some chilies would have been at least some small gesture. Nothing. I left the food at the restaurant and had some lasagna from the supermarket on my way home. 43 euro for two dishes gone down the drain. It feels like Home Taste as poorly adapted its menu to \local taste buds\ now that Chinese customers are not touring Helsinki anymore due to covid19. Well for sure, we will not return to Home Taste, nor will we order take outs anymore, nor will we bother recommending this place to anyone anymore.
If you want to eat authentic and super yummy Chinese food but cannot afford to travel to China, this is the place for you!
It's clear why this place is struggling; we waited 25 minutes to even get menus and gave up after that. It was clear from the floor staff that we would have waited also for our food a very long time. Very unorganized. So even though we had a table reservation, we didn't get any service. So we left without tasting the food. Sad.
The food is just okay and a little pricey(maybe cause it’s in the down town area). But there is not a lot of Chinese options around here anyway.
Service really really slow. After sitting down we waited for waitress to acknowledge us for 15min. At 20min point we just went to front desk to order. Food was fine nothing special.
