Fantastic zoo, has a great range of animals including snow leopard, tigers, bears definitely worth a visit. Easy to get around with lots of accessibility for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Plenty of seating, eating and grilli areas and a few different playgrounds for children Can get to it by foot, car or boat from Helsinki.

Good place for walking and looking animals
This zoo is probably the biggest zoo in Finland and in my opinion it's also the best. The amount of different animals you can see here amazing. You can big cats, different reptiles, birds, raccoons and more. You can also see peacocks roaming the zoo area. The zoo area is also very clean so there isn't trash everywhere. If it's a hot be prepared because there is a lot of walking so you need to have a lot of water with you. I give 5/5
Always a great experience. This is the first time we went during wintertime and there was still a lot to see and many animals were active. Very safe also during Covid - possibility to keep safe distances to all other groups. One restaurant was open and people wore masks inside and had coffee outside.

There were lots of interesting and rare animals here. The island location makes the zoo that much more special. Give yourself enough time to walk around and look at all the different animals. They have a good map and it shows you a recommended route to take. Should go if you are visiting with young children or if you just like zoos.
Really nice zoo! I absolutely recommend it! A lot of variation on the animals, both small and large! Do bring water and food shoes, quite many and long paths if you want to see all of the animals, I especially liked the tropical house, really cool pathway throughout!
I love this zoo so much. This zoo is located on an island and all animals are well taken care. A good place for family outing. It is also a good centre for education and conservation
