Small museum that provides good historical context for a visit to Soumenlinna. Recommend this be your first stop on a visit to the island. There is a good collection of artifacts and the museum is well organized. There is also a 25 min long movie that one can watch - however, we were not willing to use the grungy headphones provided and therefore skipped it. Allow about 45-60 mins for a visit.

Relaxing, invigorating, larger than expected but cold in winter: dress up! Culture, beauty and health in one package. Strongly recommended
Take a 10 minute ferry from Helsinki and must visit this tiny island which has amazing sightseeing. Tip : Avoid rainy days rest this is a superb place to enjoy your lunch in any of restaurants. We had our Private boardroom for lunch.
Lovely relaxed island with nice short walks between all the buildings, areas and objects of interest. Excellent public transport ferry service to the island.
Always worthwhile, anytime o' the year. Especially in autumn or foggy weather - snow if we ever get it - Suokki is Mecca for making photo or other picture art. Historically interesting, a good restaurant with a local brewery.
Enjoyed the museum , have to go back because there's so much info to assimilate . Great gift shop too
Great place. A must visit in Finland.
