I stayed here overnight due to an unexpected situation on June 2018. It was a clean and calm hotel. There was an earthquake in Osaka and the flight was delayed so I couldn't make the transit in Helsinki. It was a stay of about just 10 hours until the flight at 6 o'clock next morning. Next time I want to stay in Helsinki leisurely.

Was disappointed with holiday inn first time. We booked this hotel a month ago, and we booked a room for two, and with free breakfast. When we got to the front desk, a worker were unable to see details for my reservation. So he was pushing to pay extra 10 for second person. After long discussion, I found my email, showing that my booking included two people, so he came down, but still saying that breakfast is not free, and that we have to pay 15 each for breakfast. Second room was small. We had some dark stain on our sealing. Very small bathroom. After taking shower all floor in bathroom was wet. Hallway has dirty and carpet has stains.
The room was clean, comfortable and had everything needed. The breakfast was complete but way too expensive for what it is. While the staff was friendly and polite, the check in has taken an unexpectedly long time to complete. The hotel itself is located in an isolated area reachable in 10 minutes from the airport by a free bus, departing every 20 minutes. While this provides an easy access to the airport, it is far from ideal for people who want to reach a train station. Overall, it does the job decently, but nothing more.
Needs a little update, but the friendly staff definitely makes up for it. I've stayed here on more than one occasion, and I was never disappointed. The shuttle, which circles every 20 minutes is a huge plus.
The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars instead of two is because the actual hotel itself is nice, and the beds are comfortable. The staff is polite as well. However, if you are having to stay here on an airline voucher, don't get too excited about the prospect of getting a free dinner and breakfast that come included in the voucher ticket. Despite not saying so, your dinner will be limited to the buffet which consists of chicken or beef teriyaki. I would have included a picture, but if you can imagine what it would look like if a drunkard ate a full meal and then vomited in a buffet tray you would be accurate. Breakfast wasn't as disappointing, but if the airline schedules your flight before 5am. You don't get the continental breakfast, instead you get your choice of what they offer from the fridge in the front lobby... which is no better than snacks you can get at a gas station.
Stayed here after a delay to a Finnair flight which mean I had to overnight in Helsinki. The hotel staff were very nice, the rooms were comfortable and quiet. Dinner consisted of a buffet of chicken and rice, while looking uninspiring was actually very tasty. The wake up call occurred as asked. The breakfast at 5am was very nice, a large variety of cold foods, porridge, boiled eggs and breads.
The hotel is located in the airport and surely is used for overnight stay, this is not luxury or spoiling hotel to stay in. I stayed in the older building, separated elevator, soviet style design, very small rooms, very small shower and toilet room, clean and ok maintained. The wifi worked reliably on my phone and laptop. It's a fast connection, measured it as 60m symmetrical Dinner was very basic.
Hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport and there is a free shuttle bus to and from the hotel every 20 to 30 minutes. Thus appropriate for travelers with short layover and can’t make it to the city centre.
