The genuine, well kept Bolinder compound steam engine is a super sight if you happen to be interested in vintage technology. Atmosphere inside the building is intact, complete with the scent of old brick building and engine oil. Entrance fee is ridiculously low and you do get to inspect every corner of the steam engine and switchboard rooms, but unfortunately access to the boiler part and space below the steamer is not granted. Some items have been completely relocated to serve the museum purpose. I would have preferred to see them installed in their real functional place. I really wonder why there were so many long benches carried inside to reserve interior space and give it a cramped feeling. Apart from these small setbacks, this is a fine place to check and must if you are machine-oriented. It appears to be very underrated, as only a handful of people had visited during the summer according to the guestbook.
