How to get to Joensuu airport from the city center? I chanced upon the bus stop with the Finnair logo for bus no. 6 while I was walking along Koskikatu to the university. View my photos for description of timing and exact venue. I prefer this bus stop to the subsequent stop at Yliopisto (closer to UEF actually) because it has a bus shelter. Despite the bus website claiming that you can only pay in cash 5, you can also pay with the local Waltti card (or try the phone app).

Small nice airport. Very friendly staff. Airport was only open for a certain time during the most important times. Had no problem with it. Fast handling. Kleiner netter Flughafen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Flughafen war nur gewisse Zeit offen, während der wichtigsten Zeiten. Wir hatten kein Problem damit. Schnelle Abfertigung.
