There's not that many places in Joensuu that provide cosy atmosphere with great cakes, sandwiches and other pastries. My absolute favourite for meating with people or reading a book in solitude. It has never disappointed.

Nice little café with a fancy, nostalgic vibe, in the same building with many, unique, little hand craft shops selling anything from cards to clothes, earrings, yarn and decoration. Beautiful, lovely sweet treats like cakes, macarons and chocolates are sold here to be enjoyed in the romantic style seating area or in summer at the terrace. You can also order cakes etc. for your celebrations from here. There are some small separate rooms too where you could have a more private chat or focus on school or work assignments in peace. Accessible from the back with a wheelchair & strollers, but the space is very small. Staff is kind of stiff sometimes, you can sadly sense some tension between the employees.
So cute and cozy cafe! Really like the coffee here. I still don't understand the magic of its saturated taste;)
