Jupiter Foundation - a "large workshop" for work integration situated in the western coast of Finland, in the city of Vaasa - was founded in June 2001. The aim was to collect into one organization the expertise needed in complex project administrations and the know-how needed in work integration processes - a flexible organization to work with employment promotion and social inclusion. The founding members were: - the city of Vaasa - the municipality of Korsholm - Vaasa Settlement association - The Socialpsychiatric Association of Vaasa - The Evangelical Lutheran Parish Union of Vaasa - Vaasa Association for the Handicapped - regional waste management company Stormossen The Jupiter work orientation services help the trainees to find employment, start vocational training or find some other active solution. The support methods for enhancing person's work and functional capability include * guided work (at Jupiter's various work departments or at work places outside Jupiter) * individual guiding * group activities Target groups, mainly from labour office, social authorities, schools: * unemployed youngsters * long term unemployed people * others with difficulties in finding a job or difficulties in vocational studies. Jupiter's work orientation services strengthen the trainees' functional capability and ability for work. In order to realize the mission, the foundation offers guided work, individual and group training and sells products and services.
