Beautiful place gorgeous natural wooden rooms. Smelled like pine tress and cedar-in nature without mosquitos eating you alive while you sleep. Sauna was included and it was awesome! Breakfast was modest but ok. We tried the restaurant for a vegetarian lunch and was underwhelmed.....but up to the normal Finnish taste or lack thereof. You may want to bring your own shower gel and shampoo....no electric kettle no tv, but although no Wifi in the room, there is luckily Wifi in the main building-restaurant where you can access it for free! Service was friendly and kind! kauniit huoneet, hyvä tuoksut, kauniissa luonnossa, ravintola ihän hyvä.

Travelled and stayed here for 1 week in March. It was exactly how I pictured it. Beautiful and the epitome of tranquility. I didn't get to see the Northern Lights but this place still gets a strong 5 star. Visit here if you get the opportunity!

Good place to take a break before or after a hike through the national park. Delicious sandwiches and super nice staff.
I loved my week at Base camp Oulanka. The guides and staff were all very friendly, helpful and very passionate about nature. The food was great and my room was comfortable and warm. All the activities I did there where so much fun. I highly recommend base camp and I will be returning in the future for more adventures.
Only half way through day 2 and already loving it. Beautiful place, barely touched by civilisation. Cold, but do worth it. So many exciting things to do and all the staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful and can't do enough to make you feel at home......
Great environment with nice staff and good beer but you need to book your cooked food in advance
