A very nice museum about Finnish forests and forestry. A lot of scale models, tools and demonstrations how the Finnish forest came to this day. Interesting pictures of real people and their homes. Also, there was a lot of souvenirs to buy. Very nice place to visit, recommended!

Very nice nostalgic and interactive museum on the forests of Finland. Set in the countryside of Finland on a ridge road that a full day out can be entertaining, relaxing and adventurous. Displays are in multiple languages. Playing areas for children. Animal models to learn more about nature. A well worth visit with a shop that has some local hand made memorabilia.

Comprehensive and vast experience on all aspects of Finnish forest history and forestry culture as well as societal issues resolving around them. Modern exhibition with many interactive elements to keep visitors of all ages and backgrounds intrigued and excited. Great lunch served in the restaurant at the site, although only during summertime. The museum shop offers a wide range of suveniers and Finnish artisan products. The building itself is a good example of simple yet elegant Nordic wood architecture.

Excellent exhibition that was spacious and versatile from forest types, different trees, climate change to machinery and products from the forest. One could spend 3-4 hours there. Extra thanks for the childrens play area. One star deducted for no air conditioning in restaurant (which is good otherwise). From previous visit I can tell the outside area is worth a visit.

Amazingly detailed exhibition on both commercial use of forests and old Finnish spiritual tradition.

Interesting and educational. They also have a lot of tourist information for other areas. There are several indoor exhibit as well as outdoor exhibits on the logging industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
