Really great event with a lot of vendors and delicious food. And the theatrical group really added to the overall atmosphere

Nice, I just wish they had protected the food area from seagulls. Also more benches are needed for kids and elderly people to sit on.
The medieval market of Turku, which is held every August in Turku, is always worth a visit. They have a whole roast pig on a spit as well as a great many booths with medieval (inspired) products. There are also several great free performances during the festival. For merch, stay in the main market areas though, the booths along the river are mostly the usual market tat you'd find anywhere.
If you are in town in the end of June, this is definitely worth checking out. A lot of craftsmen from around Finland and Europe are there to sell various medieval themed items. There are several vendors selling themed foods too and reenactors portraying figures that could be found in Finland in the late medieval period. Across the street from the market itself, there is a joust.
Love it!

HYVÄ PALVELU
Upea tapahtuma, jossa todellakin pyritään luomaan tunnelma aikamatkasta keskiajalle. Yleensä tapahtumaan yhdistetty myös käsityöläismarkkinat, joten nähtävää ja koettavaa on molemmin puolen Auran rantaa. Kannattaa varata hyvin aikaa.
