R3 The immigrant youth support organisation – An information and guidance service centre for multicultural youth in Vantaa, Finland. The immigrant youth support organisation was founded in 2003 with the aim to aid and improve the status and life situations of immigrant youth between the ages of 14–26 in the Finnish society. The organisation has dedicated itself to prevent the marginalization and social exclusion of young immigrants with the help of social workers, public officers, education practitioners and immigrants. The organisation is politically and religiously independent. To achieve our goals we: Provide information, counselling and guidance services for young immigrants. Work as a representative for immigrant youth. Introduce initiatives to different public authorities. Organise events and get-togethers for young people. Patrol at train stations during weekends. Organise information and guidance sessions for young people and their parents. R3 is an abbreviation of our association’s values: respect, rights and responsibility. These three are central principles in life and cohabitation that we all must apply to – both adolescents and adults.
