Amazingly varied terrain and nature walj, take swimming costume, Russian Sandy beach is perfect, overnight there or carry on to the huts, recommend the 7km walk as a starting point. Already planning our next stay.

Really nice place where to take time off! There is toilet, campfire site and information board. Everything was clean and also there was really quiet. I really enjoyed my stay!

Tiilikkajärvi National Park is suberb place for skiing. Basically flat so you don't need downhill skills. Lot of big swamps which are easy to ski and navigate. Strongly suggest for anyone who is interested to cross country skiing in wilderness. Be aware that there are places that have high current, so lake and especially river ice can be very treacherous. Try to ask local people about ice conditions. Most likely Google translate will enough to communicate elderly locals. And most men will know lot of local ice conditions.
