Mittikset on The Road

Best sushi in Helsinki, although the maki is adjusted to western taste with all kinds of imaginative combinations. This is good thing though, the sushi is delicious!

Japaese restaurang with great food and perfect sushi. To me this is one of few places in Helsinki where you can have really good sushi. I also like the Japanise (modern) style inerior. Good service and friendly staff. Seems to be popular too so it is recommended to make reservation.

Not that amazed since it was praised as the best Japanese food in Helsinki. Just tried the sushi, not sashimi. Dessert good with melting chocolate cake but still some gap with the green tea ice cream.

Took California rolls and salmon nigiri. It was made quick and tasted good. Try to sit at the counter near where chefs make sushi, this way you not only enjoy your food but also can see how your sushi are made in front of you. Maybe a bit pricy but as many reviews say it is worth it.

Presentation is not everything. The restaurant is nice, the way the dish was presented is fine, the quality is fair but overall unwhelming. I expected a lot more from all the hype surrounding it from my friend, but its just okay. If you want to go somewhere nice this is the place, but if you're looking for flavour, go somewhere else.

They don't have the most diverse menus but that allows them to master the dishes that they do have. Every piece of sushi was hand curated before reaching my plate. The crispy fried sides of each roll was perfect. The dumplings were consistent and cooked through, didn't taste like cheap frozen dumplings. Drinks menu not the most diverse either but again, I ordered the Smokey old fashioned and it was one of the best I've had in my life.

Nice selsections of Japanese cuisine. Sushi set has some creative ones, such as roll. Worth to give it a try.
