The complex is fantastic, surrounded by water, fantastic views, a 20m pool, indoor sport hall, gym, restaurant and relaxation centre. A place with multiple meeting rooms and some nice historic photos to highlight the past. The former spa was rebuilt but still requires a fair amount of refurbishing. The unfortunate thing about the city is the limited tourists and a summer season peak, but rest of year, being rather quite. The hotel boasts the possibility of a tower visit, but it looks like the project has been suspended for over 5 years. And that is pretty much the story with this place. The rooms had a resin Cork flooring, and this causes some air quality issues. Hornet each room has an air conditioner to help with air circulation, but things like plumbing and spiders lingering makes the place seem run down. The breakfast was decent and the restaurant had nice views whether by the window or in the casino room. Note there is not really a casino, as in Las Vegas style, but the size of the place does give a bit of a cruise ship feeling. There are two children play rooms, and separate lounges to give many options. Service from staff were really nice.

Close to everything. Good breakfast. We had a first floor balcony room, the view was fantastic and the beach was 30 m away. The room was air-conditioned which was a bonus in the hot weather. The best thing for me was the bike hire. Very nice Jopo bike!
Old building, but cosy. Awesome location with beautiful view of Lake Saimaa.
Fair price especially compared to the ridiculous ones just nearby. Great location and nice views. Suitable for kids too. The building feels outdated and the breakfast was pretty disappointing.

The hotel is in a very quite part of the city of Savonlinna. I stayed there for a few days. Helpful staff, clean rooms and sheets. Not the most luxurious hotel you could stay in but I definitely recommend if you are up for a quite place and a relaxing atmosphere.

Smelly room however we chose the most expensive one and it was completely a different room than what they showed in photos! They didn’t changed our towels and when we asked why you don’t change them they answered we are occupied by group check in or other excuses which took around 2 hours till we have new towels. Spa is full of germs. Staffs were rude especially a woman named Olga at reception. A very bad experience over Finnish hospitality.
