On a cold rainy morning I was out on my regular ride when at half way my chain has broken. The damage was so bad that I was able to fix it only temporarily, though I had all the necessary tools with me. Since my old chain has already around 6000 kms in it and I was close to this bike repair shop, I have decided to go and buy a replace. I have found the place easily (thanks Google Maps). I had to fall back to my admittedly bad Finnish when I have explained the situation. The mechanic told me that he is busy and I have to leave my bike there. I was surprised since the shop was empty, but I have said that OK, I can do it myself just give me a correct chain. I have got a new Shimano HG54 chain, but I was taken aback when I was charged 45 Euros for the chain, which costs 16 Euros in a webshop (e.g. bike24) , and around 20 in other shops. Well, I can be happy as I was allowed to use my own tools to put on the chain in front of the shop (it was a 5 minutes fix) while nobody came in. I believe this was the last time I used the services of this bike repair shop.

Nopea ja ystävällinen palvelu. Pienet hommat kuten renkaan vaihdot tehdään odottaessa tai kauppareissun aikana.
Kerran käynyt ja sain todella mukavaa palvelua. Olisin tänään tarvinnut huoltoapua ja nettisivujen mukaan paikan olisi pitänyt olla auki, mutta paikan päälle mentyäni ovet olivat lukossa. Olisi ollut mukava tietää aukioloaikojen muutoksista ennenkuin tein turhan reissun Annalasta Hervantaan kaatosateessa.
