Must go spot for tourists in Turku. Retained a large portion of buildings with that strong medieval vibes. Cheap tickets. Can totally spend half a day walking around. With nice handicrafts products, lot of handcraft masters in the village

Piece of Turku from 18th and early 19th century, which was saved during the last great fire of the town in 1827. Museum shows the trades and life of that era in an authentic environment. Definitely worth a visit. This is in and outdoor museum, so best when not a rainy day.

Good exhibiton of old Turku and craftsmanship. Many different buildings with rooms furnished as they were in 1800 century.

Excellent and interesting, experiential place to immerse oneself to life hundreds of years ago. A whole block of old apartments, dwellings and workshops of the various craftspeople of the old times. Brilliant with children. There's a post office to send cards with special stamps, a shop to buy old time candy etc.

This is a beautiful old village that has been restored and is well looked after. If you're curious about how people used to live in Finland, this is the place for you! The old wooden buildings showcase craftsmanship through the ages, as well as the lifestyle of Finns hundreds of years ago. You can freely roam through the village and explore galleries and a variety of craftsmen's dwellings. The staff dotted throughout the village are also super helpful in explaining the lifestyle and the functionality of many of the tools and amenities. I loved roaming around and exploring the place, though I do wish they'd have an audio guide.

Original restored Finnish working houses dating more than 200 years. Friendly staff explaining the details of many different crafts. A lot to see and a really great feeling of past times!

Interesting to see how building standards have changed since the 1800s since we are currently doing renovations. In the 1800s they already had the original green roofs with earth and vegetation covering a layer of birch bark
