Our school group played football (ie. soccer) at the fenced outside field today. The area includes a domed structure that houses at least one football field. Maybe you can call it an inside field. The markings on the ground of the fenced outside field could be seen clearly. The (astro)turf is in good condition and my clothes were rather clean after the game. The larger area around the outside field is heavily frequented by dog owners and their dogs so unfortunately some of the dogs seem to have been able to do their business aside the field so be careful there. You have to be extra careful anyway because it is Spring and the melting snow reveals all kinds of surprises. Nothing dangerous as of yet. Be extra vigilant if you are going there with your kids. Maybe summertime is better than Spring to be freely running about. There are at least two official sized and two practice or junior sized goals there. The field has rather impressive overhead lighting. Probably about 4 teams can practice there at the same time but it can be reserved for one team's use like we had it. Bookings can be made through Jyväskylä city pages (unfortunately I don't have the link right now) but I have seen groups of friends playing on the field so the city doesn't seem to be too strict about its overall use. The field probably has some off season use. I think there might be an ice hockey rink there at wintertime. So, go there, whether you have a pigskin or a frisbee or some such throwable and see for yourself. I never really recommend anything because user experiences vary ad infinitum.
